Support Unit

 

With support from the Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST), the WCRP Global Extremes Platform Support Unit (GEP-SU) was officially set up on November 28, 2022 in Nanjing, China. GEP-SU provides assistance to the activities that are agreed between GEP and the Regional Information for Society (RIfS) Scientific Steering Group, and works closely with the RIfS International Project Office, and in cooperation with the WCRP Secretariat, to implement the GEP objectives and facilitate the development of scientific, educational and outreach activities through climate community engagement.
