Working Group on Event Attribution
Facing the increasing demand for event attribution information, our Working Group on Event Attribution has a mandate to lead strategic discussion within the community on the direction of event attribution research, to review existing literature and practices, and to develop technical guidance on the methods and interpretation of event attribution. The Working Group on Event Attribution aims to support activities that will:
- Provide best practice guidelines to ensure that event attribution information globally, particularly in an operational context, is clear, robust, traceable, and consistently interpreted
- Increase the capacity for event attribution in the Global South and underrepresented regions
